Itinerary:
Introductions as we roll in, following the first night's dinner served as acquaintances are made. Each artist introduces themselves and the opening ceremony begins around the fire pit alongside official onboarding rituals and jams.
Morning meditations and stretches to start, with Workshops and Lightning Talks littered throughout the day while a rotating roster of jams kept alive between activities. 2nd organic home-cooked meal served and recording sessions are known to commence.
Jams often continue with vigour while activities on the 3rd day gear towards listening and sharing insights as the connections grow stronger. A hearty BBQ is served at lunch to replenish the vitals with the final dinner served right before jams that go into the AM.
Rising up slowly as we pack and absorb the weekend's magic. After morning meditations and stretches, we officially end the long weekend with a closing ceremony back at the fire pit and return to our lives with a new lease of inspiration.

5 YEARS RUNNING
Key to supporting your growth as an artist is re-introduction to the basic principles of creativity operating throughout the universe. That is: emptiness and openness is the fertile ground from which all positive notions ascend.
Beat Retreat is our attempt at facilitating space for artists to cultivate such experiences. So that we may re-energise our vigour for the creative act.
We acknowledge the Yugambeh people, who are the traditional custodians of the Springbrook area, and refer to the mountains as Ningeroongun and Barrajanda, where Beat Retreat V is held on.
