LIVESTREAM EDITION
Beat Sessions #11
Beat Sessions #11 was scheduled for this Saturday 28 March 2020. Since the Rona landed we’ve had to make the decision to cancel the meet-up, adhering to recent Government rules and for our community’s wellbeing…
So we’re LIVESTREAMING Beat Sessions instead!
Tune in this Saturday from 1pm and comment your tunes (soundcloud/spotify links) and we’ll rinse all your tracks and facilitate the feedback as usual online.
We’ve got the usual SHOKU selectors to play sets in between, featuring 8MAN, May Lyn, El Delpha, RAHMS, Wheretwo, Kraznov and Night Palms.
Join us this Sat from whereever you’re spending isolation ♥ We will be announcing some exciting news about a collab with The Third Quarter gallery in the works and a Beat Retreat producer camp later in the year!
THE NEW BEAT SESSIONS
We’ve hosted beat sessions for 3-4 years now and we believe its time to level up. Beat Sessions will no longer be held at a private residence. Beat Sessions will now be held at a sound studio (still choosing) from Session number X.
We’re hoping you continue to join on us on this journey. Community is one of the fundamental reasons why we exist. Without it, only a baron land of ronins will remain. Join the group below, and stay tuned.
YUKI EP
Yuki (雪) is the Japanese word for snow. SHOKU pays a lot of homage to Japan and its culture. Bar Chroma and TomTom, everyone involved in the making of this EP has spent extensive time in Japan in the last six months. We are all drawn to Japanese art and cultural forms. We owe a lot to Japan; this is but a small homage to to the country, as well as our sonic vision of winter. Enjoy.
